Whirlpool produces a variety of brands, such as Whirlpool, Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral, along with items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. This touchpad and control panel serves as an authentic replacement component for dishwashers. Positioned on top of the dishwasher, it houses the selection buttons. When faced with a cracked, faulty, or non-responsive control panel, obtaining a replacement becomes necessary.
To replace the control panel, begin by disconnecting the dishwasher from power. Open the front door and unscrew the six fasteners that secure the control panel. Carefully remove the panel by pulling it outward and lifting it slightly. Disengage the locking tabs to free the latch from the control panel. Detach the handle by removing its securing screw and set the handle aside. Unclip the two tabs holding the control board, then remove the board and fit it into the new control panel. Secure the wire harness to the new board and reattach the handle. Firmly snap the new control panel into place, replace the mounting screws, and shut the dishwasher door.
Each OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with dishwashers from Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore.
