The retainer's purpose is to keep the tine row upright on the lower rack of your dishwasher. A missing or broken retainer can impact the functionality by failing to hold the tine row in a vertical position. Positioned on the side of the lower dish rack, the retainer can be replaced by detaching the tine row and using a flat blade screwdriver to remove the existing retainer. The new retainer can then be snapped into place, and the tine row reattached. This part is crafted from gray plastic and is sold individually.
