Dual Water Inlet Valve for Refrigerator/Freezer
This dual water valve serves as an OEM replacement component, fitting a range of LG refrigerator models, including those under the LG and Sears-Kenmore brands. Prior to purchasing, confirm that this valve matches the specifications needed for your appliance, as some models may necessitate alternative valves. The valve manages water delivery to the refrigerator, providing supply to both the ice maker and the water dispenser. Designed with two quick-connect outlets, it operates effectively at 120VAC when water is required by the ice maker.
To replace the valve, begin by shutting off both the electrical power and water supply. Then, detach the lower door bins and water tank cover to gain access to the valve. Remove the black plastic retainer ring and disconnect the water tube with care. To install the new valve, follow the removal steps in reverse order. After installation, reinstate the power and water supply to the refrigerator. Operate the water dispenser to expel 1-2 gallons of water, aiding in system flushing and eliminating air from the lines.
