Our ice maker assembly is designed to work seamlessly with both LG and Sears-Kenmore refrigerator models. This OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacement part produces 12 ice cubes per cycle and is crafted specifically for LG appliances. The kit comprises all necessary components, excluding the ice bucket.
For installation, a 1/4 inch hex head screw is essential, along with a nut driver or socket wrench. Ensure the ice-detecting sensor is free of debris and that the ice bin compartment door is securely closed to maintain optimal operation.
To replace the assembly, first remove the ice bin. Then, release the icemaker/auger assembly by unscrewing the fasteners found beneath the icemaker, near the ice chute, and at the top left corner. After the screws are removed, disconnect the wiring harness from the unit. Proceed to install the new assembly by following these steps in reverse. Once fitted, the ice maker should begin producing ice within 12 to 24 hours.
