Manufactured for GE side-by-side refrigerators produced from 1998 onwards, this ice container assembly accommodates models with capacities between 24 and 27 cubic feet. The assembly includes a 12 3/8” wide, 12 3/8” long, and 14 5/8” high ice bucket, integrated with an auger that facilitates the movement of ice into the dispenser chute, promoting effortless access and distribution.
Typical causes of assembly malfunctions involve standard wear over time, damage from regular usage or improper handling, and issues with the auger motor or blades, which may obstruct ice flow.
Indicators of a malfunctioning Ice Bucket and Auger Assembly:
