The oven control board, produced under the Frigidaire and Electrolux brands, as well as for Sears-Kenmore, is a genuine OEM component responsible for regulating the oven’s core functions. If your oven is experiencing issues such as failing to start or heat correctly, replacing this control board may resolve the problem. The replacement process is relatively uncomplicated.
To begin replacing the control board, make sure the oven is unplugged from the power source. Carefully move the appliance away from the wall to gain access to the back. Using a screwdriver, remove the upper back panel to expose the control board. Detach the current control board from its mounting brackets, and disconnect the wire harness along with the individual wires, ensuring you note their original configuration for proper reconnection.
Next, connect the wire harness and individual wires to the terminals on the new control board, ensuring correct placement. Secure the new control board in its position and refit the upper back panel. This replacement part is sold separately and is compatible with ovens from manufacturers such as Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse.
