Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat Kit, L45-20.
This kit provides all components needed for installation: wires, mounting brackets, and wire connectors. It is designed to work with GE devices, including refrigerators from Hotpoint, General Electric, and Sears-Kenmore.
The defrost thermostat functions by activating at 45°F and deactivating at 25°F, with a 20°F difference in operation. Its main role is to prevent the evaporator from excessive heating during the defrost process.
The ML Series by Therm-O-Disc incorporates a 3/4" (19mm) bimetal disc for temperature control. This unit is both moisture-resistant and sealed, providing dependable performance. It supports electrical loads up to 10 amps at 120VAC and 5 amps at 250VAC.
