Washing Machine Control Board Installation
Leading brands like Cafe, General Electric, Monogram, Haier, Hotpoint, and Profile offer this original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement part. Acting as a washer's central control unit, it governs essential functions by transmitting operational commands. Should your washer fail to start, spin properly, or clean efficiently, a control board replacement may be necessary.
The process of replacing the control board is uncomplicated. First, reposition the washer to access its rear panel and detach the top cover. Gently push the front segment of the control panel, then lift it using a putty knife to release it from its brackets. Carefully disconnect the existing wires from the old control board, and capture a photo for reference on wire arrangement. Remove the mounting screws and disengage the locking tabs to take out the old board. To install the new board, secure it in place using the locking tabs and reconnect the wires accordingly.
This authentic control board is available for individual purchase and is suitable for use with washers from GE, Hotpoint, RCA, and Sears/Kenmore brands.
