This document presents the primary control console designed for a Whirlpool washing machine. The Whirlpool brand encompasses other well-known names, such as Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral, and also produces products for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. Situated at the upper section of the washing machine, the console integrates control knobs essential for operation.
A burning smell originating from the console or control board may indicate a short circuit. In such an event, it is crucial to cease machine use immediately. Should the controls become unresponsive, utilize a voltage tester to assess the control board and its connections for any issues.
To proceed with console replacement, first remove the screws located on the upper part of the rear panel. Typically, two clips secure the console, which can be released using a flathead screwdriver. This console is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) component supplied directly by Whirlpool and is available as a single unit. It is compatible with various models from Whirlpool, Roper, JennAir, Maytag, and Magic Chef.
